Dr. Ilona Palmer brings over a decade of elite equine veterinary experience to the Queensland region. A 2010 graduate of the University of Cambridge, Ilona’s career began with an animal welfare focus, volunteering for six months in Egypt to provide critical care for working equids.
In 2011, she relocated to Australia and joined the prestigious REC Equine Specialists (formerly Randwick Equine Centre). During her tenure there, which spanned over a decade, she cemented her reputation as a specialist in racing and performance horses. Since moving to the Gold Coast in 2023, she has continued to provide high-level diagnostic and preventative care to the local equine community.
Ilona is widely recognized for her meticulous clinical approach and a genuine, lifelong passion for equine welfare.
